DANfusion is a 'follow-up research centre' funded by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
DANfusion supports and coordinates research and development of fusion energy across different Danish universities. Via the grants, DANfusion allows researchers to travel to both national and international fusion experiments to acquire experience in the field. The grant will also facilitate national meetings to foster collaboration and will allow PhD students and master's students to join fusion-relevant summer schools.
The aim for DANfusion is to strengthen the Danish scientific community dedicated to the development of fusion energy. Ultimately, DANfusion hopes to support the Danish research and development for ITER, DEMO and EUROfusion.
Currently, the consortium is composed of the four Danish universies: The Technical University of Denmark, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark and Aalborg University.
